A person, a dog, and the search for wild places.

I'm Valentina Foppa, and I make Wild Homes. I'm based in South Tyrol, in the Italian Alps, and I share my days with my dog, Nerina.

Wild Homes is my search for places that are worth the journey for both of us: a cabin by a lake, a house at the edge of a forest, a hut with the mountains right outside the door. Places where animals are truly welcome, not just tolerated.

“Pets allowed” rarely tells you enough. So I ask hosts precise questions in writing, show who confirmed each answer and when, and say plainly what is still open. That way you can plan your trip properly and spend more of it outside.

Wild Homes is written in English for travellers from anywhere. I also work in German and Italian.
